I spent most of last week sewing velour curtains for our home theater. Today I can safely say I am officially retired from velour curtain making forever. Not only did the 25 oz velour take over the kitchen, it shed EVERYWHERE. We had little red velour pills blowing into the corners of the kitchen and tracked into the livingroom and it was up and down the stairs. Of course, being practical (read: lazy), I refused to clean it up until I was through sewing. I don't advise that. I bet most of the mess could have been curtailed had I been more diligent about those red dust bunnies.
All that curtain making monotony seemed to suck the creativity right out of me. Well, that and a sinus thing that stopped to visit my earthly temple. I've been working up the motivation to press on and plan to resume making art tomorrow.
Here are some photos of the new theater (we still have a few things to finish):
My husband did most of the work. Speaking of husbands, I can hear him racing while the police chase him. He bought me an XBox 360 for my birthday and it came with "Need For Speed: Most Wanted". Great game. Totally aimed at young men, but still fun. Running from 6 police cars doing 140 MPH was the highlight of my afternoon.
