I decided to take this opportunity to work on my photo taking skills. Obviously I wouldn't be allowed to take photos in a professional capacity (do you SEE how blown out that slice is in front)???? Heinous.
I'm attempting to take all photos without a flash because I'm aiming for realism here and not that flattened look a flash provides. I should also mention the freakish colors a flash brings out. My bread looked ORANGE when I used the flash. Mmmmmm. Orange banana bread.
I'll post my recipe because I had to look high and low to find one that featured more than 2 bananas. This one has 4. Heavenly.
The Best Banana Bread Out There
Preheat oven to 350 F
- 2 cups flour -I used whole wheat. Feel free to use the deadly white flour.
- 1 cup sugar -Today it was mix of raw and dark brown. I don't ever recommend the deadly white sugar. Nasty stuff.
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix dry ingedients together in a bowl and set aside. Get another bowl for wet ingredients.
- 4 medium size ripe bananas- mashed
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
Mix wet ingredients together with a wisk. Stir in dry ingredients until combined but don't get all crazy and mix for 20 minutes. If you want, add some nuts or other goodies like craisins. I stirred in a handful of chopped pecans this time. Pour into a greased 9 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick stuck into the center comes out clean.
If it is burned, you baked it too long.
